Rejection.

This is a picture of Shannon and I (I’m on the LEFT)
Shannon is a smart, pretty, talented and young lady.
She had a great smile and was very happy.
April 8th
I was at a friend’s barbeque and she was there, she had made a delicious cherry cheesecake. I wasn’t having a fun time at the BBQ myself, but I went to Shannon, I sat on her lap outside and she braided my hair. And later we walked with some friends to Mac’s and we talked about random things and everything seemed dandy and fine. I left early that night because I wasn’t feeling that awesome.
April 11 @ 1AM
The weather was dreadful and I wasn’t a greatest fan of thunderstorms. But the weather matched perfectly. A received news from Patrick that she had taken away her own life earlier that day. First reaction; utter shock. Let’s say it was hard enough for me to go back to sleep as it is.
Story here folks is that you need to cherish the friends you have and make sure they know that you’re available for them whenever. A message to all my friends RIGHT NOW; If you NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO. I’m all ears. I’m a great listener. I don’t want this is ever happen again. I’m here and my arms are open wide.
I love and miss you dearly Shannon. May you rest in peace.
edit: Happy 500th post. :/

Make you smile.
the next time i’ll see you, you’ll turn away.i’ll say ‘hello’ but you’ll keep on walking.the next you’ll see me, i’ll turn away.do you remember where we used to sleep at night; i couldn’t feel you, you’re always so far away.

•See that boy doing his homework in homeroom? … He couldn’t do it last night because he was too busy talking his best friend out of suicide. See that girl, with her face caked in make up? … She’s bullied, she needs to feel beautiful. See him, the one who wears long sleeves everyday? … He covers his arms to hide the scars. See her, with the cheap, hand-me-down clothes? … Her family can’t afford food for half the month, let alone get brand names. See the girl who laughs and smiles at every little thing? … She cries herself to sleep every night. Wonder why she never lets her friends over her house? … Because she’s afraid they’ll see her dad passed out drunk on the floor, as always. See how that girl cringes as rape jokes? … She was raped. See the boy who everyone goes to for advice? … He wishes someone would do the same for him. See the girl who never brings a lunch? … She’s disgusted by her body. See her, with the little waist? … She goes to the bathroom and forces herself to throw up so that she can keep her waist that way. See the boy over there, see the dark circles under his eyes? … He has insomnia, he fears what he’ll see in his dreams. See that girl daydreaming over there? … She has schizophrenia. See the boy biting his nails? … He has cancer and he’s wondering how much time he has left. See your best friend? … She’s addicted to drugs, but she can’t tell you because you wont understand. See that boy reading all about 9/11? … His parents died on that day. See her, with her phone on her at all times? … She’s waiting for a call saying her sister was found after a kidnapping 4 years ago. Don’t judge. (Source: beachhbums, via thoughtsandstuff)
